A reimagining can work at times - Battlestar Galactica, for example.
Successes like that are few and far between, alas. Especially if you're f*cking around with our beloved childhood programmes.
Hmm. Rainbow Redux will doubtless be next.
Then Pipkins Perfected (with extra CGI).
Ivor the Engine Elaborated (reimagined for the non-coal generation)
Bagbuss Bypassed (because even money grabbing no-brain suits know some things are sacrosanct and will ensure a swift one way ticket to hell if they dare to toss around with the format).

I started on chapter ten last last night and carried on this morning. this is the last chapter of part one, before the shit really hits the fan. It's weird just how much I'm enjoying writing this story despite knowing that most of the prose will scrape the skin off your fingers, it's that rough. Still, I'm sure I'll be able to tidy it up a bit. I've got a week off work so I'm going to try and get my writing head on. One more thing. today is the 19th of June which means I've had this story in my head for two months. I hoped to have the first draft done for 19th July.

I scooped out the seeds from a beefsteak tomato a couple of weeks ago and planted them, just to see what would happen.
Two weeks later, I have 19 tomato seedlings sitting on my windowsill.
Happy.

It's been three days since I last posted. I slap my face for slacking! (ow!)
I've spend the last two days sat in front of the PC writing my story.
That translates as sat in front of the screen, searching for random crap on the internet, playing games on facebook and OCCASIONALLY typing in a few words into Word.
I should slap myself again but I still haven't got over how much the last one hurt.

'Tis here in Oxfordcestershire.
It's also sunning in Glasto, but not for long. A false sense of security for the mud dwellers.

Ok, so I'm just about at the end of this chapter, a quarter of the way through some pretty intense action. Two pages and it's done...Yay! ete.
It's taken me all sodding day to write down bloody paragraphs. How can that be? I mean, I know exactly what's happening. Hell, the scene has run through my bloody mind a million times yet when pen hit's paper the following spews out.
John has a ball. It is a big ball. It is a big, red ball.
Now I could have ended this blog entry now. 'please feel sorry for me' etc. but I won't.
AS SOON AS I got in the bath, the entire two paragraphs ran through my head. Just like that!
It's not brilliant prose, it doesn't even reach the dizzy heights of being 'not bad' but it will do, I can at least continue the story. Woo.

Hi blog. How are you today?
Well that's good to hear. I'm about to see an old woman with hundreds of primeval spiders bursting out of her stomach.
What? You don't want to know?
Sod you then.

This old woman - not a First Line Manager in the produce section of a Tesco distribution centre by any chance?
Lots of spiders got hidden in the banana crates.

I think I'm about halfway through the story now, probably. Now I'm not stuck exactly but these last three chapters have been so hard to write, The chapters are all similar, it's where all the characters realise that the shit really has hit the fan. There's a lot of intense action and I'm having so much trouble finding the correct words to describe just what I want to show. Maybe a walk will help to clear my head. The internet isn't helping, it's just showing me lots of new shiny objects.

Blinking flip!
The board is doing very well. (Me happy) Problem is...
I is spending a bit too much time on the damn thing so starting tonight, I'm going to steer clear of the board for a while and concentrate on writing.
BUT, before I do, I'm about to embark on a board blitz!
Hell yeah!
