Ok, so the book in question is about as far removed from horror as you can get. Nevertheless, the author's comments and general response to the review (not to mention the fake postive reviews that she had posted up onto the likes of Amazon) shows how not to respond to reviews of a more critical nature. It was a hilarious post - however, some of the later comments were quite interesting, referring to sharks at feeding time and bullying. Our Tracie had some very good pointers about this: traciemcbridewriter.wordpress.com/

Bit late to this one but I'll comment anyway. I'm on some FB Groups with other writers who are self-publishing onto ereaders. Quite a few of them were concerned about the fallout from this and how it would reflect on them. Now it's almost two months later and the whole thing has kind of been forgotten about. Storm in the internet teacup in the end.
