I still remember seeing The Fungus on the shelf in WHSmiths.
Anybody here read any of his (Their) other work?

Was there not some ruccus when Jurassic Park came out with the story lines being so familiar?
I think the carnosaur species was a deinonichus but I'm probably wrong.

As pulp writers, Harry Adam Knight impressed me -- in particular, I enjoyed THE FUNGUS and BEDLAM. They uphold the pulp tradition.

I love THE FUNGUS. Well written in terms of pace and color. Never boring. Pulp goodness.

Read BEDLAM, THE FUNGUS and CARNOSAUR - enjoyed them all. Were there any other novels?

Just checked out the cover - it's all coming back to me now, read that one too Another author that stands out from around that time (late eighties) was Simon Ian Childer and the novel WORM. Can remember enjoying that one.

Got SLIMER and TENDRILS. Both great gruesome fun. Incidently the former was made intto a film called PROTEUS. Good FX for a cheap UK low budget film but of course the novel is better.
