Gary McMahon's new novel 'Pretty Little Dead Things' is due out in November this year, to be published by Angry Robot. The cover for the book has just been released. Blurb... THOMAS USHER HAS A TERRIBLE GIFT. Following a car crash in which his wife and daughter are killed, he can see the recently departed, and it’s not usually a pretty sight. When he is called to investigate the violent death of the daughter of a prominent local gangster, Usher’s world is torn apart once more. For the barriers between this world and the next are not as immutable as once he believed. www.garymcmahon.com/

Ohhhhhh....Angry Robot usually distribute their new publications for Amazonvine reviews (I've been sent two of their previous releases so far), so I'll keep my eye out for this one. Cheers for the heads up there Ian.

Thanks for posting this, Ian. The novel is a sort of crime/horror/urban fantasy crossover, with the emphasis on horror (with a capital H). :-)
I hope that, when the book is published, you all enjoy it - and if for some reason you don't, I'll set my demons on you

I'm really looking forward to this. I've already seen a couple of excellent reviews.

Same here. I've not heard a bad word about it. One reviewer described his style as 'early Clive Barker' which is a compliment and a half.
Apparently, Sharon Ring's other half read it and it gave him nightmares.
