Hey guys!
I am a big horror film fan and never really been a big reader.
I tend to start a book and just totally get distracted and not go back to it, I just find it hard work to keep my concentration and focus when reading. I struggle to concentrate through one chapter of a book. Yet I know people who can read a whole book it takes me to read a couple of chapters.
I am looking widen my horror spectrum into litreture, and not only film.
Maybe its practice, or maybe I am reading books that I would struggle with. I have books by Joseph Seridan Le fanu, Henry James, MR James. Maybe I need to focus more on more modern literature, which I hope will be easier for me to read than what I have.
Any suggestions, or help would be grateful in this.

Hi...and welcome to BHN.
Can I recommend that you give James Herbert's 'The Rats' or 'The Fog' a go? Richard Laymon's 'One Rainy Night' is also a popular introduction into some fast paced horror action. Of course, you could always jump straight in with some Jack Ketchum ('The Girl Next Door' is a nasty little read).
There's just so much out there...

Welcome, Mrnace. The 19th century literature you've mentioned can be tough going at times, especially if you're not a big reader.
It depends on what horror films you like, but I think you'll probably enjoy Shaun Hutson. Very simple, basic style of writing, and very visual.
