My name is Jim Giar...known as J Giar under some of the other boards out there in uber internet land. I am an artist and writer...or as I like to label myself (which I normally do under the cover of night.) I'm just a storyteller. I have an online graphic novel at souldriving.net which is a mixture of horror and crime melodrama. I wrote the story as well as supplied all the art and lettering. (be warned the tale makes use of foul language and bloodletting) However I also love to read and write horror. I've been a fan of the horror genre in film, comics or literature since I was 6 or 7. and have amassed an extensive DVD collection of horror films ranging from the black and white silent films to some of the more modern day classics...(yes there are a few.) You can check out some of my artwork on chelzostudios.com. And I look forward to posting some of my stories to get some honest crits, direction and feedback from those of you like minded folks. Thanks. J

Hi J and thanks for posting your intro. Looking forward to reading your stories. Any chance of posting up your artwork too. We don't as yet have a section for artwork, horror or otherwise but I'd be happy to knock one up.

Ooooohhh...nice idea. I might also post some of my work up sometime.
Just had a look at your work on your website Jim. A lot of the pieces are looking really quite good.
Stick to using bold lines and heavy shading. It suits your work a lot better than a lighter touch. Oh, and you've got a good eye for composition. Although if you played around with the structure more, it would probably bring a lot more life into the images.
F**k me I talk a lot of bollocks sometimes...

I do suffer from a severe case of brain leakage. Put simply...I need to blabber on about everything and nothing on constant basis.
I pity the fool that actually reads my posts...

I appreciate any and all critiques. And I've just started to break out of this confining mold I created around myself and my work.
