Hi there! My name's Luci. Got invited to join via a message on MySpace - I'm not much of a forums person but this looks like a friendly enough place I love reading horror novels and am currently working on writing my first, which I'm around 30,000 words into at present! So hello all! *waves*

Hi Luci! (waves back)
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a brief synopsis for your story?

Thanks for the welcomes guys ;D Hi Luci! (waves back) If you don't mind me asking, do you have a brief synopsis for your story? sure, here you go! first time I've shown anyone so don't be too harsh Netherton is the idyllic suburban village anyone would be happy to live in. The houses are big, the lawns well-maintained. Your neighbours can be trusted and children still attend the local school with eager minds. No wonder Redgrove High comes so high up the league tables year after year… Except the school hides a dark secret. Children are disappearing and the teachers are acting strange. And just why are some local residents paranoid they are being watched? When Tara Travers suspects her son’s social worker isn’t who she seems, she soon discovers a past so sinister and horrifying that she almost wishes she had left things alone. Almost… Except all the evidence shows her teenage son Daniel to be her next victim. But while Danny struggles with his own personal demons, the psycho discovers that the troubled boy could be far more valuable to her alive than dead. Tara continues her quest to save her son and stop the murders…but is it already too late?

Throw in a mutant toad and you've got yourself a winner there!
Only messing with you...sounds interesting. Certainly intrigued by your blurb.
You going to take part in the short stories competition we have on the forum? I think you should...
