The obvious choice I know, but it has to be 'The Shadow Over Innsmouth'.

favourite lovecraft is probably either 'dagon' or 'pickmans model' but there's a lovecraftian tale by china mieville (name of it escapes me...) that was in both his collection 'looking for jake and other stories' and 'children of mythos' (or similar title...)

Has anyone ever read Crouch End by Stephen King?

yes and i didn't think much of it to be honest. worst story in 'new tales of cthulhu mythos' and one of the few not so god ones in 'nightmares and dreamscapes'. it just didn't catch me although some of the elements were good. i think it seemed throughout that it was an american trying to write about the british, you just didn't get kings usual everyman voice and the england he conjures up is nothing like one i've ever seen or read about.

yeah that was a bit of a down point, but generally i thought it was a really good story. in fact i would say its probably one of my fav's in Nightmares and Dreamscapes. I can see why some people wouldn't like it but i thought it caputred the essence perfectly!

Lovecraft- The Lurking Fear
I loved Crouch End, my favorite story in Nightmares and Dreamscapes.
Favorite Lovecraftian story by another author would have to be- The Burrowers Beneath by Brian Lumley.
