Did the end surprise you or, judging from the tone the movie set, were you expecting something like that to happen?

The Haunting in Connecticut not really a total horror but liked it, and Dying Breed.

Plaguers.
A Sci-fi film gone horribly wrong.
Lamberto Bava should probably sue them for stealing most of the plot from his Dario Argento Produced Demons.
Except Plaguers is inept in almost every way. And nothing was good.
Joe 90 used the same special FX. You get the picture.
AWFUL

Splinter was a cool little movie.
Watched The Burrowers the other night... a little slow, but very well made.
Not horror but CRANK 2 is the biggest pile of steaming turd I have ever watched.

Last night I watched Long Time Dead from 2002.
This is a run of the mill movie about a Djinn. It does nothing special, and excels in nothing but being average. But it's at least watchable. Wouldn't recommend it, but if you come across it on late night TV, you could do worse.

A few more in the bag:
Dai-Nipponjin (Big Man Japan)
Not horror really, just very very awesome and fabulous. How ab out this for a plot synopsis (courtesy of IMDB) "An eccentric man aged about 40 lives alone in a decrepit house in Tokyo. He periodically transforms into a giant, about 30 meters tall, and defends Japan by battling similarly sized monsters that turn up and destroy buildings."
Add in - it's a comedy, a mockumentary, and has a brilliant p*ss take on Mighty Morph'n Power Rangers. It has it all. So brilliant is this, it made me want to weep. This is a CLASS A NARCOTIC of a movie!
The Devil's Ground
Weird one this. It "stars" Daryl Hannah, but she's not in it much. At one point this looks and feels like your bog-standard backwoods horror, but it has a really strange twist at the end. Twists can be good, but this one felt a little awkward to me. As in, "Oh, nothing makes sense now."
Bizarre move on the filmmakers part. Which, I guess, is why I liked it - oddly enough. It's different, I'll say that for it. Worth seeing for the oddity of the climax.
Tooth & Nail
An older Vinnie Jones movie, and not a very good one at that. A post apocalyptic world, cannibals, and some nice people being persecuted. Says it all really. It's actually well made, and there's not a lot to complain about. It just didn't float my boat. There's not enough detail in the plot, and the main characters (for the most part) just roll over and die. All, of course, except the FINAL GIRL (if you don't know what that means, you don't know your slasher movie formula). Average - not essential.

Tokyo Gore Police.
Completely over the top. While the Japanese have a penchant for gory comic books, this was just comical. Basic story is about a group of people called engineers who grow weapons from their wounds, and who are hunted by the police. Now imagine a man with his penis bitten off, and the penis re-growing and becoming a lethal weapon. Enough said.

Tokyo Gore Police is fun. The Japanese are wild and over-the-top is the most glorious ways. If you enjoyed that there's a couple more you need to see:

If you enjoyed that there's a couple more you need to see: I didn't enjoy it. I suffered through to the end though to see how ridiculous and low they could go. And believe me, it went off the scale on both counts.
