What about you, Chris. Will we be seeing your lovely self this year? I reckon so...as long as the Smith's are happy with my tired and hungover bulk lurking about their delightful abode once again. Usual plan seems like the best idea. Stay at the Horse & Jockstrap, you'll no doubt book the biggest and most expensive room for yourself, go for a few drinks + a ruby and see how we can charm/offend the people of Knighton once again...

Suggestions for the GNS Con 2012:
(1) A number of years ago, Guy used to take the convetion attendees out to a different local spot each year that was featured in one of his books (for example the stone circle from The Lurkers). Sadly, I missed these earlier conventions. However, I bet that people would still be interested in seeing some of these locations in real life. I for one would be very keen to see such spots. Great photo opportunity and interesting to compare with what was described in the books.
(2) Perhaps Guy could do a reading of one of his short stories? Ade informs me that this a popular addition to such conventions. Again, I'd be very keen to attend a GNS reading.
(3) A showing / tour of some of the rarer, stranger, less well-known GNS items, with descriptions and details on each provided on each item provided by Guy. Like with the auction, when Guy tells us the story behind certain promotional items etc, Guy could do this with a load of things that he has, for which he has no plans on parting with. Guy could show us some of the incredibly hard to find 'Sexy Confessions' books, with some info on how he came to write them etc. Copies of early manuscripts, unused cover artwork, promotional memorabilia, the Sucking Pit Boardgame, foreign additions, oddities etc - all with Guy giving us a little history on each. Perhaps 5 - 10 such items that Guy can tell us all about. This could be a real highlight to the day.
Anyway, they're just ideas of what I'd personally love to see included at the convention. What do others think?

Oh yeah...and the goodie bags with the freebie GNS Con chapbook in it that we all had a copule of years ago was another excellent highlight of the convention. Would love it if Guy did another such convention-only-chapbook again...

DLS, Are you sorted for this year? Yeah - I'm just going to rock up to Guy's gaff on the day this year. Will be the first GNS Con without a piledriving hangover. Quite a bit of driving in one day, but not too bad. Saves a few £'s too. You dragging the missus along again this year Ian? Should be another darn good Con...

No there's just me and by the sound of it, there'll be just me stopping over in Knighton on the night before.
