I've been watching this excellent series. Who'd a thought that they could have made an EMO-TION-AL series out of zombies? Or am I still stuck in the Romero mindset?

I've been watching this excellent series. Who'd a thought that they could have made an EMO-TION-AL series out of zombies? Or am I still stuck in the Romero mindset? Not at all. I think this series is wonderful - even with Andrew Lincoln (who I HATED in This Life) - so I'm glued tonit every Monday. (Repeats - I can't see it Friday 'cos of archery.)

What ep are you up to Ade? Episode 4, I think. FX channel, yeah? The Unmentionables have stormed the camp. What has really impressed me about the series so far is the characterisation and sheer storytelling. I've not been too bothered about zombies for ages, but this series puts everything into a fresh light. Wonderful stuff. ;D

I've up to ep3.
You know what? He had a hacksaw yet he chose his hand? That pipe looked thin and a little rusty. Why the hell did he not attack that?
Or am I missing something?

I think that he chose his hand for one of 3 possible reasons. In the comic, there is a one handed Zombie fighter that was supposed to be another character but they may change it around. Second possibility is that it was to have him go his separate way as that actor (in the US at least is in high demand and they would not be able to afford him for the whole series) Third might be if he does come back for one reason or another, he has one hell of a good reason to be upset with Rick, much of the show depends on the emotional component between all the cast so this would bring even more tension to a tense situation.
Just my thoughts
