Just thought I'd let all the members know (in case they hadn't heard) that Ghostwriter Publications has released The long anticipated and much awaited `CREATURE FEATURE' horror anthology... it hit the streets today, July 11th; including my own nasty little werewolf horror `Sun'. I will be reviewing the anthology on site at a later date. Has such luminaries as Guy N Smith, William Meikle, Simon Kurt Unsworth...the list goes on and on! Available both on Amazon UK or direct from the publishers! www.ghostwriterpublications.com/page18a.htmlAlso released today is Rakie Keig's chilling horror tome `The Moths'! Again either from Amazon or the publishers GWP. You can catch up with all the latest news and reviews on my blog ianmfaulkner.wordpress.com/or my twitter twitter.com/IanMFaulkner

So sorry Willie! I didn't mention the re-release of your classic 'Island Life' in hardback or the audio releases... I shall rectify this oversight right now!!

Though it should be mentioned that although The Moths is up as available on Amazon the author did tell me only last night that the publisher has notified her that the book isn't quite ready yet... so not really available.

Shops... with no barcode they won't make shops.
Plus the books must be printed to go anywhere and after talking to Rakie tonight it appears that The Moths is not in such a state at this point in time....

Well, my copy of Creature Feature is still on order...
I emailed GWP the other day and Neil said that they're likely to be sent out next week.
I shalln't be holding my breath though...

Its always next week with GWP... It should be their new tagline!!!
I am going to say my piece and I'm doing so with all due respect. Some out there will point the finger and shout 'Sour Grapes'.
I have no reason for any kind of grapes. I left GWP when I began to find out that things were wrong. I have the emails to prove it was my choice and mine alone.
My ONLY reason for sinking my teeth into this venture the way I have is because I love the horror genre as a whole and I will always speak out when something is wrong. I do this out of concern... I don't wish to see the genre or the artists that work within it damaged in any way.
The books haven't been sent out because they are not ready... that is clear. The only reason they are on Amazon as available is because they work from the data linked to the ISBN... They are not in contact with publishers on a week to week basis... They get their data from Neilson Book Data where the ISBN is registered... This data in no way reflects the actuall release date.
Luckily Amazon take no money until the books are shipped out to the customer. Thankfully these buyers are safe... disappointed but safe.
This situation isn't helped when authors run around the net pimping that sales are great on Amazon and that readers should go and order now. When no books are forthcoming the reader won't bother again.
Just because GWP posted a picture of two books on a table (that were clearly mock ups) proves nothing yet respected authors scream via Facebook etc... that the books are here.
This does no favours to anyone.
Claiming huge sales is beyond belief... GWP has done no marketing whatsoever... its all on forums and networking sites done by the authors. Having spoken to GUY N SMITH a few weeks ago I know that sales aren't that great. DEADBEAT was a limited run of 100 and was available on pre-order for 3 months. In that time all should have been sold. Only half have shifted... This is terrible and nothing like the 10 000 units of each title promised by GWP in our talks.
My main concern is the authors in this, names that have built a respect with readers through hard work over years and they are willing to damage that respect by begging readers to buy books that are yet to exist.
Its a bit like the bookshop... post a photo of an empty shop and the authors all start going 'Ohhhh and Ahhhh' Same with clocks etc... Dangling the carrot methinks.
What else amazes me is GWP's response to any questions... a chuckle... a shrug and a sarcy attempt to belittle those raising the questions. Answers would be better.

I'm quite amazed that GWP are still accepting orders/money for the books. Nowhere on their site do they say anything about the current delay with the orders. This is very unprofessional.
When I first stumbled across GWP, I couldn't hide the big old grin that was plastered across my face. Their forthcoming releases looked spectacular. I started posting on their blog and recommending them on other forums etc.
I placed an order with them very early on in June. The order has still not been completed and it's almost August now.
Any future GWP books that I order will be done through Amazon. I am far from impressed by their customer service so far and am obviously concerned about the novels ever arriving.

looks like no one's received any of their orders yet... i've also not received any contributor copies so yeah, it does seem to me that they've not been printed yet. Sigh.
the lack of a barcode is worrying as well, especially since i've been encouraged to talk to a local shop regarding stocking these titles. Without barcodes they won't be able to (as is my understanding?).
