The first draft of Shades of Green should (If I ever stop pissing about on here) be finished in a couple of days.
Are you still up for giving it a beta read?

Out of interest, how many GNS conventions have you been to squire?

Out of interest, how many GNS conventions have you been to squire? Hmm. Not 100% sure... First one was in 1998. I've been to about five or six - maybe seven.

Indeed and will we have to sacrifice DLS at the giant crab altar that he keeps in the cellar.

I've heard the best one was in 1997 when they all went into the old reservoir where Water Rites had been set. Another one involved Guy demonstrating his pendulum/divining skills! 2003 we had a look at the stone circle that featured in The Lurkers, and had a guest appearance from Lionel Fanthorpe (biker vicar from Fortean TV) and 2007 (which I missed) had a screening of Island Claws, the film loosely based on the crabs series. Mostly the Cons are like a meeting of family and friends - sitting around chatting, a chance to meet the animals and wander around the attic bookshop (bring your hard hat!) and then there'll be auctions of books and GNS memorabilia. And food. Lots of food!

The altar is visible on google maps DLS. Honest. Oh yes, I forgot to mention this. Every year an unsuspecting first time conventionee is ritually torn to pieces on said altar, and the remains equally distributed to the loyal followers. I said there'd be lots of food... Hope you haven't gone on a diet, DLS?

I do hope the 'tearing to pieces' doesn't smart too much.

There's wine and beer there which last pretty well as most folk drive back the same day. But as there's going to be a horde of BHN pissheads turning up, perhaps we should bring a few cans to make the booze last longer than fifteen seconds...

Doh....I forgot....of course, I'll be driving back that evening, so I won't be drinking anyway! What an idiot I am!
