If it was to talk writing, it'd be King, but if it was just to hang out, have a beer and chew the fat, I'd go for Guy. He seems to be the closest to a regular bloke along with King, and King is on the wagon.

Guy. Or James Herbert.
If I met King I think I'd fall asleep.
Guy is, to put it simply, a hero - an inspiration! His work is to the point, finely sieved for the important detail and then scoots on.
