Interesting choice there Ian. I have to agree that the cover for ‘Fiend’ is a particularly fine one. However, I have two favourites, for two very different reasons. The Plague Chronicles has such a pulp horror charm about it, with it’s blatent in your face symbolism and suggestions towards an epic splatter novel. True genius! Secondly I love the sheer simplicity of the Satan’s Snowdrop design. It’s eerie in it’s symbolism and offers up an intriguing emptiness to such a nasty novel.

For me it's fiend. Great cover, this - and a cracking book in its own right. I originally came upon this on the Isle of Wight in 1988 but I didn't buy it because the cover scared me so much! I know, I know...I'm built of sterner stuff now.

I always thought that the cover to 'Mania' looked like it was going to be some sort of 'Psycho' rip-off. I haven't read it yet (so I dunno if it is or not), but the mean looking lass on the front doesn't half look like a bloke i.e a Norman Bates character.

Honestly?
No.
Not really excited by them.
On the one hand they have to be contemporary, to sit on shelves next to newer titles. As such, these work.
On the other hand I know these titles as older "classics", and that isn't reflected in these covers. I mean, you can modernize the cover, but what are you going to do about the insides?
I personally think you have to be very very careful of the crabs books and their cover art. I mean, they're special, you know? And that cover is nothing on the original.

N.O.T.C. is the only one out of those that's a re-release. The others are all brand new releases squire. The 'Night of the Werewolf' cover is snazzy.
