So, to get the ball rolling in this new 'questions' section...
Is it true that the Guy N Smith novel 'Satan's Snowdrop' was originally simply titled 'Snowdrop'? I was informed of this the other day on 'The Vault' forum. I've never heard this before (and to be honest, I'm somewhat sceptical). Anyone got any further insight on this?
A scanned cover of the book with the original title wins you many prizes...

Mine has Satan's Snowdrop on the cover BUT just 'SNOWDROP' plus guy's name written on the spine.

Look what I found on Guy N Smith's (other) official website: Look's like you've got one of the original copies there squire.

Interesting. Like Ian, the copy I have just has Snowdrop written on the spine - but I was led to believe that these were the standard issues, and that the one with the full title on the spine is the rare one.
The publishers insisted on the change, by the way - they felt a book called just 'Snowdrop' didn't sound scary enough. They have a point, I guess - what would they have done if Guy had called it 'Bluebell' or 'Daffodil'?
Well, 'Beelzebub's Bluebell' and 'Devil's Daffodil' of course!

Just went up in the attic to have myself a look at my copy and mine's also just got 'Snowdrop' on the spine. I never noticed that beforehand and presumed it had the full name there until I checked. I know what you mean Steppedonwolf - just calling it 'Snowdrop' doesn't really give off the right vibe for the book. Oh, and as a side note...I think it's one of his best!

I agree. One of the most original haunted house tales ever - and the scenes of Reichenbach's cruelty still haunt me to this day.
Guy was really on a roll at this stage in his career - all his books with Hamlyn were knockouts. Doomflight, Deathbell, Locusts...classics all.

I couldn't agree more. I have always thought that that period in his career was his highlight. Don't forget his 1982 novel 'The Pluto Pact' which played with such a range of dark subtle undertones.
