How about an 'Ugg Boots' category? I miss those wonderous posts... Okay, DLS. Just for you...

I've been looking, but can't find a category for non-fiction books for horror writers, unless I'm looking in the wrong place. As I'm new to horror writing, it would be helpful if there was a thread where people could recommend non-fiction/reference books that have helped a lot in their horror writing. Thanks.

Good Idea Bec, I don't think we have one.

We started a thread on this last year in the 'Art of Writing' section. Here it is: britishhorrornovels.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=artofwrite&action=display&thread=28

Thanks, guys. But I wasn't thinking of general 'How to write' books, but useful reference books for horror writers, eg. some encyclopedia of demons or monsters, or mythological beasts or body wounds...
For example, I have Jonathan Maberry's 'They Bite' which kickstarted my MAB story.

I see we have a space for non-fiction horror now. Thank you! Who's going to start the thread? Or do you want me to start it?

It doesn't appear to be very popular as yet. Lets hope this changes.
