Yeah, creed was quite cool. Although I thought this particular cover of Creed made it look like it was going to be frigging awesome: Remember boys and girls...never judge a book by its cover. Great cover, but somewhat baffling. You read Creed and think: how's the cover selling this? This was also the illustration for the American issue of Sepulchre. i10.ebayimg.com/04/i/001/20/28/1983_35.JPGBrit covers are best!

I quite liked Creed from what i can remember of it, seemed like JH was going for a mix of horror with satire. i'll need to read it again though.

Apparently Herberts next book is simply titled ASH .

Apparently Herberts next book is simply titled ASH . That it is! Completes the David Ash trilogy (Haunted, Ghosts of Sleath.) Due for an autumn release, but the publishers are treading carefully with it. A lot of real-life events and characters are referred to, so they're getting the lawyers to have a close look before it goes ahead...

Herbert's got the laywers going through the MS then? Was he not in trouble with an earlier novel?

Herbert's got the laywers going through the MS then? Was he not in trouble with an earlier novel? Yes, that was with The Spear. There was some sort of plagiarism accusation from a certain Professor Ravenwood. Reason they're looking into ASH though, is because references are made to people such as Princess Diana and Bob Maxwell - with explanations for their deaths/disappearances!

Sigh. I sometimes wonder if some folk understand what the the word 'fiction' means.
