I had all of my carpel bones and some of one of my metacarpal bones removed from my wrist, a couple of slices from the end of the radius and ulna bones taken out. They replaced the bones by cuttinfg out part of my hip, then fused my wrist solid with metal plates.
According to the Docs I had fractured a couple of bones in my wrist around seven years ago, and never noticed it. They have been rubbing around in my hand causing all those bones to become covered in bony growths.
Once the cast comes off I'll have no movement in my wrist, but after pysio I'll get most of the use back of my fingers, and the hand should be stronger than ever, just won't be able to play the bag pipes ever again

Shit man...that sounds quite major. Good luck with the recovery etc.
I have an aching pain in my right wrist that comes and goes all the time. Had it for years. No idea why or how it happened. Hope to hell it's nothing like what you went through.
Probably just wankers cramp or something...

paste the image url in here first something like www.picture.jpgThen highlight it, above the smilies there are a number of boxes, click the one with a hanging picture inside it. you should get [] with img inside the the square brackets at the begining of the highlighted text and [] /img at the end.
