"The Liturgy of Hours by Dean M Drinkel has been accepted into this anthology. This things has got to be the scariest monk story ever written!"
So quoth Brother AJ. Nice to see another MAB author - and a fellow Brit (a SOUTHERNER as well!) - inside.
The editor has another point to make:
"One note on horror Monk Punk stories. At present I have three horror stories about monks, and they're all very good. This anthology is likely going to span all three speculative sub- categories, but I'm only taking a specific kind of horror story, nothing to modern-feeling or flashy. That said, it's not likely that I will accept many more horror monk stories, as I would like to keep enough space for SF and Fantasy ones. That said, I'm a sucker for anything that blows me away, and so there's still a chance of getting in with a horror yarn. But I would love to see a couple more traditional Eastern and traditional Western monk stories that do well to entertain. Thanks!"

If you're stuck for comedyfantasy Eastern monk punk tales, check out Terry Pratchett's Thief of Time - plenty of inspiration there.

Holding my breath for just a few more solid stories before this thing closes to submissions. Shouldn't be too much longer. A couple of writer colleagues of mine are presently polishing up their stories, and they usually produce quality work, so we'll be seeing print before too much longer.

Hey fellow writers, here is the almost-final TOC of the Monk Punk anthology I've been editing for Static Movement. We're at about 76000, so I just need like one more story and then I'll be closing submissions and finishing up the editing process, and then this thing can see print. If you've got a possible story for this, please polish it up and send it to monkpunkantho@gmail.com thanks!
