I saw 'The Book of Eli' last night. Great twist at the end, but for me there were unanswered questions.

Leaving Las Vegas, with Nicholas Cage and Elisabeth Shue.
First saw this twelve years ago. The performances are still outstanding, but I struggled to watch it this time.
That God-awful bluesy saxophone soundtrack kept putting me off...really bloody annoying.
Mike Figgis did the soundtrack as well as directing it - not a good idea.

Shutter Island
Impressively directed and acted, but the script didn't grab me - too many plot points that went nowhere.
Sue said it was like a long Scooby-Doo episode

I've just seen Drag Me to Hell. Good one. I loved the punch-up in the car! And it was a great ending.

I saw 'The Book of Eli' last night. Great twist at the end, but for me there were unanswered questions. Yep, me too. I had to go through it again to see if he was blind or not. I don't think he was, so... ...where did he learn to read Braille?

I don't think he was, so... ...where did he learn to read Braille? I thought he was blind from the beginning, and had years to develop his accurate sense of smell, etc. Not sure where he learned to read Braille. I must watch it again. But the biggest problem for me was: a Braille version wouldn't fit into one volume like that. I read somewhere online that it would be more like 18 volumes.

UNTHINKABLE with Samuel L Jackson as a former Black-Ops interrogator. Here, he's torturing Muslim terrorist Michael Sheen to find the location of three nuclear bombs that are set to detonate in major US cities within three days.
Grim and unsettling viewing, which raises the debate about wether it's morally acceptable to use torture in an attempt to prevent massive loss of life.
Some real surprises here - and a nice twist...
