Hey folks - just took my meds (vyvanse for ADD) and not bouncing off the wall. About me - not British, but I do write horror. I'm a semi-completely unknown. My stuff floats around on ebay, which means people need to eat.
Besides all that I live with my gf, Lisa (3 yrs), my dog Tom (14 yrs) and a sun conure named Tika (8 yrs). I work for a major appliance company - I'm the guy who gets bitched at by consumers when the stove doesn't work - and I attempt to write. Just agreed to a 3 book project and I've got till the end of the year to finish it - hope the med work.
I drink lots of coffee.
Good to be here.

Warning: I'm major ADD - just started on new meds and hopefully it'll help, but I tend to ramble. I apologize. Thank goodness for buttons around here.
Hey All - At work now. I sit with headphones on and wait for people to complain about broken ranges/ovens/microwaves/lives - this was a promotion after 2 years of working on an assembly line.
Dreadlocksmile: Good to be here. I try to entertain. Let's see - the list isn't long. I've only been writing about 8 years. It happened by accident - didn't even read horror before it all began. I'm a slow producer - one novel, a novella (love that word) and several shorts:
Gifted Trust - the novel. Great story ... terrible writing, but some seem to like it. If you find a used copy (some floating around UK) buy it. Got a great cover by Alan Clark.
Monkey Love - the novella - The name says it all - This was what I called a "three beer story". When I'd get drunk and people would ask what I was working on I'd tell them, "a story about a woman who believes her dead husband returned as a gorilla". One day I was drinking with a publisher and before leaving he said he wanted it. If you ever read GT you must read ML - I've improved. Oh and this is a limited thing with great art.
Marquee - some say novella/some say short story - nice art/limited edition/sold out
The Shorts: Hello Neighbor, Weeping Mary, Prader-Willi, Runs Like Rabbit and House Guest (with ML) are all floating around somewhere.
Note: Hate pimping my stuff on sites like this. Lots of used copies of GT available and if you're stateside check your library. My motto: Buy Cheap - Eat More.
New Project: Made the deal a week ago ... GT has two follow up novels I never got around to write. This what's coming ...
Gifted Trust - redone. Cutting/editing/making it what it should have been. Sequel 1 (untitled) - first draft finished. Final book (also untitled)
All three need to be finished by 12/31 and will be presented at the World Horror Convention in Austin, TX at the end of April 2011.
steppedonwolf:
I am stateside - right now about 30 miles from Nashville, Tennessee. I'm from Michigan, but have lived all over the east/south US: Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Texas and now TN. Also did a year at Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba
ian:
Right facebook fish.
Back to work.

I've just sent you a 'freind request' on MySpace squire.
I may well nab myself a cheapass copy of Gifted Trust from Amazon Market Place.
Although I'd be tempted to wait for the re-edited re-issue.

Cheers for the links...self advertising is always respected here....it would have to be with Shuan frequenting the board! hahahahha!

Well nobody else is going to do it for me. ;D And as punishment for spelling my name wrong, I compel you to order a copy of my new book Ooops...sorry! Slight type-o there! No doubt I'll order myself a copy squire (although this month has seen a lot of purchases so far, so I'll put it on hold for now). Besides, the price came down on the Kult after a little while...so hopefully the same will follow with Deadfall. P.S. Will speak with Andy (Reading Waterstones Manager) regarding stocking it - sale or return ok?
