Amie29 gets a karma for (A) remembering her original profile log in details and (B) spreading the word about our short story competition over the interweb. Thank you, m'dear! Everyone else, please follow her lead - let's get some more readers, and then we'll have more contributors. Please remember to vote - I think the most votes we've ever had on a poll is eleven. I'm sure we can do better than that...

Hey Ade! Methinks you should massmail the BHN crowd on FB! There's 268 folk on there now. I'm sure a FEW of them will kindly spare their precious time to read and vote.
Consider it a challenge sir. I've throw down the glove!

I've throw down the glove! Aha! Well, I massemailed them on Sunday with a "Please come back" begging letter, so I'll wait a couple of days before I start spamming them again... By the way, any email coming from this group is marked as 'dangerous' by my email provider. Does anyone else have this problem?

Suzanne gets a Karma for contributing to the OMG! ZOMBIES! thread. Now, let the floodgates open. BHN versus the undead - they don't stand a chance, do they? But we need help. All hands to the pump (action shotgun), please!

Ian gave me a bollocking for handing out karmas like sweeties...but in the OMG ZOMBIES thread it's proven that even in Canada everyone knows Ian can't handle his winegums.
And she's slapping him around after only knowing him for three minutes. Fair play!
And thus, a karma is granted...

No karma for posting interesting guidelines for anthologies... but karma for slapping Ian around? Got it :-)

I'm outa karmas! For some reason, I can't exalt anyone else at the moment. But rest assured, Willie, one will be coming your way for your link. And that one's a cracker. Interesting to see that some publishers still prefer postal submissions rather than digital ones. In many ways I think that's a good thing. A digital slushpile is a lot easier to get through than a physical one...the 'delete' button must be worn out on some publishers' keyboards. But with a physical, hard copy in front of the editor...perhaps they take more time over it? In the meantime, feel free to slap Ian around a bit more. No extra karma. It just needs doing!
