Or you could make a little pusman, and serve him up to guests on a small gold plate... cool. They wouldn't even let me keep the bones. I wanted to make a necklace out of them

But who - Trust me cloning idiots has never worked out for the best Ha ha ha. My evil plan has come to fruition. An army of Jim McLeods, unleashed and ready to do my bidding. Well that's the second week of being back at work over. God I hate light duties. I am meant for physical work, with periods of thought.
One of the main reasons I gave up being a veterinary virologist was I couldn't stand not being active at work. That and the sad state of affairs, of being able to earn more money working as a nightshift manager in a supermarket, than as the senior virologist in a leading diagnostic lab. Five years at university, with a first class degree really paid off.
But on the bright side I now earn more money and work less hours, only four nights a week.
|Being off work for 10 weeks and losing the use of my left arm has caused my Viking berserker figure to become more Haggar the Horrible.

It's also Ellas' first birthday this week. Can't believe it has been a year since she was born. I still remember the panic when she was 3 weeks over due and it looked as though Amanda was not going to be able to make it home in time for Campbells very first day of school.
looking back it should have been expected as Amanda has always been terrible for timekeeping. I challenge anyone to find someone who can faff about as much as her. Luckily everything panned out and we made it in time for his first day.
It's been a great year Campbell has been a stunning brother he dotes on Ella all the time. And Ella as turned into a right Miss Madam, as Campbell loves to call her. Full of mischief and fun, always smiling. Not been sure were she gets that from as Amanda and I are sour faced.

We woke up in the early hours of this morning to sound of our 1 year old daughter Ella crying and having great difficulty breathing. A quick phone call to NHS 24 had an ambulance winging its way towards us. A lot of people have bad things to say to about NHS 24, yet the three times we have had to use them they were great.
So of I went in a blind panic with Ella to the sick kids hospital 12 miles away in Edinburgh. The paramedics were angels they managed to keep both myself and Ella calm, well as calm as could be expected.
Once we got to the hospital we were booked in and seen within five minutes, the level of care provided by all members of staff from the nursing auxiliaries to the consultant was first class. It turned out that Ella had a bad case of croup.
The main reason for this blog is to extend a big big thank you to Sick Kids hospital, there is a move to close it down and transfer a greatly reduced service to the main hospital. This cannot be allowed to happen, forget about the specialist medical knowledge there, for it is well known that it is first class. It's the specialist care skills that the staff have that really makes this a wonderful place a lot of these skills can't be learned and most of those that can be taught take years of devoted service to master . I was distraught at the state my daughter was in, trying to get her to take a nebuliser, there was one nurse trying to keep it on her face myself trying to keep her arms at bay and two nurses trying to make her happy by being funny.
The Drs and nurses soon got her croup under control and she was discharged 12 hours later smiling like she always does
To close this hospital would be a travesty, so if any of you know anyone who works there shake their hand for me please.

At least that's what the Sargent Major told me on Saturday.
While out on one of out boys own walks no girls allowed cause we go hardcore, you know the score. We came across a squad of new recruit soldiers out on a running exercise in full military gear. It looked as though they were doing a 2k run, not that far. So of they set on the course with NCO's lining the route, one the way back a lone soldier is way out in the lead and Campbell shouts "look at him daddy he winning he is a good runner", fair enough I can live with that. Then as more and more of them passd us Campbell becomes more and more critical of their performance until the guy in last place passes us. " Look at him dad he's not very good is he, he's been beaten by two girls, I can run faster than him" at which point Campbell decides to run and over take him. While Ca\mpbell is rubbing the guts nose in it, he is also beign given a pep talk in true Sargent major style, "get your ass in gear laddie" type stuff.
I'm trying to get Campbell to stop insulting this armed soldier, once ther ppor guy finaslly strats running again the sargent turns to me and says "that boy will probably get you shot one of those days, but like his style"
So if I ever disappear you know why, some squadie has gone postal and shot me all becsasue my son doesn't have an off switch.
