I suppose I should be flattered, but somebody has done a fantasy adaptation of one of my stories without my permission. It's very nicely done, but it would also be nice to be asked.

It's going to be a Lovecraftian year for me, at least as far as anthology appearances go.
Coming up I have:-
The Color of the Deep in THE CALL OF LOVECRAFT (Papercut Press) The Unfinished Basement in DEAD BUT DREAMING 2 (Miskatonic River Press) Inquisitor in HISTORICAL LOVECRAFT (Innsmouth Free Press) The Color That Came to Chiswick in GASLIGHT ARCANUM (Edge Publishing) Call and Response in CTHULHU 2012 (Mythos Books)
I'm also waiting to hear if I've made it into HIGH SEAS CTHULHU 2 (Elder Signs Press), and I've got at least two other Lovecraftian anthologies I want to try for.
All that, and other anthology appearances in WATCH and BEST NEW VAMPIRE STORIES means you're going to be seeing my name in a lot of books this year alongside a lot of people I admire greatly, like Ramsey Campbell, Kim Newman, Simon Clark, Joe Pulver and a host of others.
It's a nice feeling to have at the start of a new year.

The sidebar to the right of my own blog here ( williammeikle.blogspot.com/ ) details the stops on my blog crawl, and will be updated as I stagger around spouting pearls of wisdom. If you post a comment on any of the blog posts I make there between now and the end of February you'll be entered in a draw to win a free Kindle loaded with all the books I have published with Generation Next Publications

I have numerous pieces of work in the pipeline. There's the already placed work - the 3rd Midnight Eye Book is due in print and ebook this spring, with Derek fighting a werewolf cult in Glasgow and Newfoundland
- several more novels and ebooks are coming from Generation Next Publishing
- there are three film scripts in various stages of production, including a film version of the 1st Midnight Eye File: The Amulet
Numerous anthology appearances i.e. - The Color That Came to Chiswick in GASLIGHT ARCANUM
- Call and Response in CTHULHU 2012
- Out with the Old in EVOLVE 2
- The Color of the Deep in THE CALL OF LOVECRAFT
- The Unfinished Basement in DEAD BUT DREAMING 2
- Inquisitor in HISTORICAL LOVECRAFT
- Morning Sickness in BEST NEW VAMPIRE TALES
- Living the Dream in WATCH
- The Just One in MONK PUNK
And there's the submissions. I've got stories out at seven other anthologies, four magazines, two podcasts and a newspaper, and a novel waiting for publisher edits that'll knock people's socks off. All details at my website at www.williammeikle.com/

A day of reflection on my writing career so far as I rapidly approach the twentieth anniversary of starting out.
There have been many ups and downs over the years, but back then, if I'd been offered the publications I now have, I'd have sold my soul for them.
It's in the nature of the beast that I'm never satisfied, always looking ahead to the next gold ring.
But today I decided to count my blessings and look at what I've achieved. I can't quite say I'm content... but I'm happy.
For now, that'll do.
Onwards and upwards.

Thanks to S D Hintz for this. Reminds me of films of my youth - and the movie of Watchers would have fit right in there
